Investigations of the face recognition disorder are performed at the Department of Cognitive Science at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Natural Sciences. We test human-visual categorization processes by performing behavioral tests, psychophysical measurements, and using electrophysiological and eye movement tracking methods. We study the electrophysiological correlations of visual category processing for different visual categories.
As the human face plays a prominent role in the world around us, our goal is to map the neural representations of faces and the disturbances of related processes.
The focus of our research is prosopagnosia and its possible training methods. If you are interested in the subject, you can read more about it here, and register to our website to test your face recognition skills in detail.
